About the Author

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and came from a large family of eight children. I discovered I had a talent for writing in first grade when my teacher allowed me to tell a story while she tape recorded it. When other students in my class refused to record any stories, Mrs. Dayton always asked if I had another story, which of course I did. I excelled in my English classes and always enjoyed writing assignments. All through my school years, friends, family, and teachers encouraged me to write or tell stories and I loved keeping them entertained. Coming from a large family, helped fuel my ability to relate stories as there seemed to never be a dull moment while growing up.
